8:30 – 11:00 OLD FASHIONED PERIOD MUSIC BARN DANCE Listen to period style music by the Shenandoah Valley Minstrels, Dance the dances of the 1860’s, Watch our reenactors and civilians dance the night away. Entry is free but DONATIONS ARE SUGGESTED.


SUNDAY JULY 14 @ CUSHWA BASIN

10:00-2:00 March to Falling Waters: Join retreating soldiers, tired wagoner’s, and local Park Service Rangers while they march the 5 miles down the canal to the crossing site of the pontoon bridge. Learn from the interpretive program what happened here and along the canal during the retreat. Limit of 100 participants. To sign up call 301-582-0813

SUNDAY JULY 14 @ SPRINGFIELD FARM

9:00 – 2:00 Lazy Sunday: Camps open and in-camp demonstrations begin. Ask the soldiers about life in camp.

2:00 – 3:00 SCOTT HIPP: Marylanders in the Civil War (inside the town museum)
1:00 – 4:00 Town Museum Open with exhibits of the Town’s history from the 1700’s to present
